Samsung joins the 5G Network By Unveiling Its New Exynos 5100 modem

Samsung is speedily advancing in our world of technology with its new Exynos 5100 modem.

Hi guys!

If you are up to date on the latest developments in the world of tech, you should know that 5G network is getting close to becoming a reality on our planet earth and the latest company to join the 5G party is Samsung.

Samsung is speedily advancing in our world of technology with its new Exynos 5100 modem. Although It’s not the first major 5G modem to roll out. The first was Qualcomm X50 Modem, which was officially announced some years ago and and apparently has so many companies trying to use it in their 5G devices according to claims from tech giant The Verge . But Samsung’s popularity looks to be that by waiting for the spec to be finished, it’ll be well able to adhere to the 3GPP’s requirements.

The new Exynos 5100 modem is compatible with old networks like, 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE all in a single chip. And it also supports both the sub-6GHz and mmWave portions of the electromagnetic spectrums which are used by the 3GPP’s 5G standard.

There's more:

The company claims that the 5100 can reach speeds of up to 2Gbps per second in the sub-6Ghz range of the spectrum and as well as up to 6Gbps when using mmWave signals, which are both great boosts compare to what’s possible on 4G right now.

So what do you think is next in mind? Well, we probably need a phone that would match the Samsung Exynos 5100 modem and a network to go with it.
